We need management to wake up and take notice before standards decline any further, so over the next few weeks we'll be thinking of ways to make Virgin listen.
Here's the first task...
Review and rate the 'Travel Buddy' mobile app
First of all if you have an iPhone or Android phone please download the app and have a play around.
You will notice when exploring the app that there's very little functionality actually within the app, most links just pop open a web browser. To add to this, there's been reports on Twitter that mobile tickets in the app sometimes do not display their barcodes or even the app crashing when it's launched.
Although the ratings of the app have been poor, there's not that many reviews. We think if more people review the app the feedback is more likely to hit home and they will prioritise improvements to the app or at the very least at least acknowledge that improvements will be made.
So please review the app on the Apple App Store or Google Play (if you happen to have both iOS and Android devices you could do both) giving your feedback on the app and the limitations of the website that it's integrated with.
To do a review of the app:
- Install the app from Google Play (Android) / App Store (iOS) using the links above
- Launch the app and have a look around
- Go back to the App Store/Google Play and find the app reviews section and write a review for the app, remembering to give a rating.
- If you don't have time to write a review, giving a rating will still help
You need to have the app installed for your review to count.
If you're looking for points to put in the review then you can look at other reviews for inspiration.
Please note that your reviews may not appear instantly but once they're subitted they will appear usually in under a day.
Here are some reviews from back when the app was still in beta, it has not improved.
